Little Jesus, a band from Mexico City formed by five friends who thanks to many songs and hundreds of live performances have managed to position themselves as one of the new rock references in Latin America performed in San Diego California on Friday January 19th in front of a full house of enthusiastic fans of both sides of the border.
They describe their sound as “tropipop,” an idiosyncratic blend of bright, hooky indie pop, ’90s-era Rock en Español, frenetic guitars, double-timed percussion, sparkling keyboards, marimbas, Beatlesque vocal harmonies, and humor — all captured with rigorous production standards.
The show began with National City’s surf/dream/pop-rock band “Los Shadows”who were the ones in charge to set the mood and warm up the audience before the main act.
Little Jesus finally came out to the stage around 9:15 pm and the whole crowd was really excited and eager to receive them.

The audience was overall super energetic and filled with awesome vibes. But the highlight of the entire night and the 2 songs that led the crowd to jump, dance and sing on top of their lungs were “La Magia” and “TQM”.

The whole Little Jesus Setlist lasted approximately an hour and a half and absolutely left the crowd wanting more.

I would like to give a special thanks to Live Nation and the House of Blues for making this coverage possible for Xhanel Style Media. See you on the next concert
